the fort tall cabinet draws from childhood memories of building shelters in the michigan woods, stacking fallen logs and branches to create simple structures. that memory is abstracted through a rhythmic façade of alternating wood slats, giving the cabinet a strong, monolithic presence while revealing the natural variation of the grain. elevated on block-like feet, fort balances a sense of permanence and protection with finely considered craftsmanship.
